Hi all,

A similar scam happened with us on itcharters.com. A client asked to create 50000 backlinks. After 2 months effort, when we tried to get payment from itcharters.com, we knew that website has been vanished.

Be aware of such scams.

Hello,I have recently found one smart scammer,he has posted one project in freelancer.com and said that he has account on other sites, which is cheap fees and easy to deposit money,itcharters.com .He said to sign up there and he will post privet project for me,it was $5000 project for 60 days.
So done the process and he escrow money and release the money also.
But after while i was confused that how it possible,so i decided that is there is money in my account then i can payout through paypal, and itcharters.com option is instant approved and within 3 days money will be transferred but no ,i call to itchartes.com and they replay that you have to give the work proved to itcharters.com and they will review and release money. But i discovered that the buyer is one of the itcharters.com broker or may be owner.
He has lots of project with different user id with big budget project and less time frame. Please beware about itcharters.com,it is a sites which making money to cheat with freelancer.

My experience as a Graphic Designer on Odesk was frustrating as most of my time was spent fending off scammers. It was getting to the point that I had to stop working on Odesk altogether because of these monsters. It's a great place to find hard working talent but be careful if you are a graphic designer.

Also, some job postings are used to scam other industries. And these I believe involves mostly in lead generation or those asking to create 1000 emails etc. And they would use stolen credit cards to verify their method of payment.

That's why every provider needs a portfolio. That way you have something to submit to jobs like these that showcases your skills without doing their work for free.
