Hi Nelson,

I'm fairly new to oDesk and have applied for many jobs requiring my experience and skills, however, the gap between my last job and now is 3 years. I know I can still do the work. In fact I take advantage of the free MS Word and MS Excel update training provided at gcflearnfree.org. Any advice you could give in writing a cover letter even though I have this gap would be greatly appreciated.

Also, do you use a greeting in your cover letters or just notate the job post information.

Sincerely,
Angelia Cranford (Angie)

Oh, by the way- I used your method of getting partial payments for a fixed price job and it worked great. Um... I feel as if I owe you a commission....um...I'm resisting that urge...um.

Thanks Nelson, I needed to hear this.
Too often we get caught up in fearing the numbers. The number of applicants and the low numbers on other bids. It's nice to know that there are realistic buyers out there and that they can be reached.
